Pelvic Prep School is a book written by Dr. Sam DuFlo about preparing your pelvic floor for pregnancy, birth, and beyond. I was commissioned to design the cover.

Part of Dr. Sam’s mission is destigmatizing conversations around pregnancy and all experiences that come with it. She wanted to artfully incorporate the female reproductive organs in the cover of the book in a matter-of-fact way that expressed strength and femininity while retaining the style of her established brand.

I explored designs that incorporated abstract, geometric shapes representing the pelvic floor, pregnancy, and the female anatomy. The result is a bold, elevated design that embodies Sam’s practical and honest approach to discussions about pregnancy and the pelvic floor.
